WIN TODAY
Six Steps to Mental Resilience, Peak Performance, and a Thriving Life
From the Chicago Cubs’ World Series Victory To Success In Life And Work: WIN TODAY Helps People Perform At Their Best
What does it really take to perform at your best consistently, under pressure, when it matters most?
That’s the question I’ve spent my career helping athletes, leaders, and organizations answer. And it’s the foundation of my book, WIN TODAY: Six Steps to Mental Resilience, Peak Performance, and a Thriving Life.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked with world number one golfers, Grand Slam finalists, NFL and NBA players, and senior executives at major global companies like McDonalds, Novartis, Pfizer, and Amazon.
I also had the privilege of serving in the front office of the Chicago Cubs as Director of Mental Skills during their 2016 World Series run—one of the most high-pressure environments in sports.
What I’ve learned is this: peak performance isn’t about talent alone. It’s about mindset. And mindset is something you can train.
In WIN TODAY, I share the mental performance framework I’ve developed through real-world experience—working with people who are striving to succeed when the stakes are high. This isn’t theory. It’s a practical system built from what actually works in moments that matter.
At the core of my work are six principles that I use with both athletes and business leaders:
Define Your Story
– Get clear about who you are, what you want, and how you show up.
Build Bonds
– Create the relationships that support growth and performance.
You Are Here
– Stay present when pressure and distractions rise.
Stop the Storm
– Manage the thoughts that undermine your performance.
Choose Growth
– Commit to doing the work every day.
Mile Zero
– Reset your mindset daily with intention and belief.
These principles apply whether you’re leading a team, building a business, navigating change, or competing at the highest level.
At its core, WIN TODAY is about a simple but powerful idea: lasting success doesn’t begin with distant goals or grand plans. It begins with learning how to win the moment directly in front of you. When you focus on the decisions, actions, and mindset you bring to today, you begin stacking small wins that lead to meaningful, lasting results.
